MURDER, SHE WROTE? WOULD "TIGER KING" NEMESIS BE TEXAS TOAST UNDER TEXAS STATE LAWS?
 
The recent Netflix series “Tiger King” focused on the feud between an Oklahoma private zookeeper (of big cats such as tigers and lions) known as “Joe Exotic” and big cat animal rights preservationist, Carol Baskin. Their bitter rivalry eventually culminated with the imprisonment of Exotic for hiring a hitman to murder Baskin.
 
 
COURT RULES TIGER KING TO BE DECLAWED IN BIG CAT FIGHT - LOSES ZOO
 
Joe Exotic, the so-called “Tiger-King” in the Netflix hit docuseries during the pandemic who was found guilty of paying a hitman to kill his arch-nemesis, Carole Baskin, lost his zoo, G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Park, to Baskin pursuant to a court order on June 1, 2020.

 
 
WILL LADYBIRD DEEDS NEED A VENTILATOR DUE TO COVID-19?
 
As COVID-19 increases pressure on state Medicaid budgets as demands for Medicaid coverage become even greater, states may be inclined to expand Medicaid estate recovery giving the state the right to have a lien against the property (most commonly a homestead) of a Medicaid recipient – even after the death of the surviving spouse of a Medicaid recipient.

 
 
LITTLE RICHARD, LITTLE ESTATE? GOOD GOLLY, MISS MOLLY!
 
Although Little Richard recently died, with an estate estimated at $40 Million, it could have been much greater if he had made better business decisions. He sold the rights to his hit song, “Tutti Frutti”, to Specialty Records for $50 plus a half cent for each record sold. The record company earned millions.
 
 

FROZEN ASSET - GRANDMA!
 
A Pennsylvania woman, Cynthia Carolyn Black, was recently arrested for keeping her dead grandmother’s corpse in a freezer for 15 years to collect her deceased grandmother’s Social Security checks.
